Welcome to River City Gymnastics and Cheer. We are happy to have your athlete involved in our program. We would like to take a minute to give you a brief overview as to what your athlete will experience and learn in our classes.
Our mission is to develop a variety of quality programs for your athlete(s) to participate in. We are committed to providing excellent service in a positive atmosphere with qualified instructors.
For the littlest athletes the tumbling, jumping and cheering is just plain fun. Gymnastics and Cheer offers kids of any age various benefits. The gross motor skills include learning to control the muscles are vital to growing young bodies. The discipline, poise and self confidence gymnasts and cheerleaders develop are important to kids at any age. Training in gymnastics and cheerleading provides all of this wrapped in a fun package that they really enjoy!
Athletes in the beginner and advanced beginner classes will enjoy learning gymnastics and cheerleading following a curriculum that corresponds to their age and skill level. Skill development will be based on a progression of skills that will lead them into higher level skills necessary for continued classes. Our coaches will mirror the USAG gymnastics program, AmeriKids program and USASF cheerleading program in teaching skills appropriate for specific levels and abilities.
Evaluations are completed and will not only account for skill development, but also include aspects of cooperation, listening, and the ability to interact appropriately with other athletes and coaches in a controlled environment. We ask that parent viewing please take place from the designated area.
Again, we thank you for your involvement in River City Gymnastics and Cheer. Please visit this newly updated website to find any information relating to our program. If you have questions, feel free to contact me for specific questions or concerns.
